One new case is diagnosed every ninety seconds and every eight minutes another American male dies of this disease. Yet prostate cancer research receives significantly less federal funding than breast cancer and AIDS. At NYU we have embarked upon a campaign to reverse these grim statistics. With the support and guidance of the dedicated volunteers on the NYU Advisory Board, premier research programs in the field are being established and a pinnacle of excellence for the NYU institution. |
